Perfect Blurriness

My favorite part of winter break and having an empty apartment to myself is that I can sleep on my living room floor and it not be odd. Well, it may still be odd but there’s no one here to tell me. And our Christmas tree serves as the most perfect night light. My imperfect eyesight handed me a lovely gift just now. With my glasses next to my pillow, the lights are blurred into perfectly-rounded little circles light. The bluriness makes the most beautiful twinkle, reflecting off the colorful ornaments the way I’ve spent so long trying to capture with bokeh-like techniques on my camera over the years. Magical, I think.
Here’s my best iPhone attempt.

Goodnight, fellow night-owls. Good morning, good afternoon, and good day to the rest of you.
