On replay

My iPod shuffles to it while I’m trying to get to sleep. My iTunes keeps making me listen to it. It’s never been my favorite on the album or anything. I may have even skipped over it every time I’ve listed to the album or never made it to the end of the cd or something, which isn’t something I regularly do. At any rate, I hadn’t listened to this song any number of times until very recently and it’s been constantly on replay since. If someone were to ask me what my favorite song is right now, at this particular moment on Saturday, January 29th around six in the evening, I’d say this song:

How fickle my heart and how woozy my eyes
I struggle to find any truth in your lies
And now my heart stumbles on things I don’t know
This weakness I feel I must finally show

Lend me your hand and we’ll conquer them all
But lend me your heart and I’ll just let you fall
Lend me your eyes I can change what you see
But your soul you must keep, totally free

In these bodies we will live, in these bodies we will die
Where you invest your love, you invest your life
In these bodies we will live, in these bodies we will die
Where you invest your love, you invest your life

Awake my soul
Awake my soul
Awake my soul
You were made to meet your maker
