Smile and maybe tomorrow you’ll see the light come shinin’ through.

As difficult as it is, as horrible as it feels, smiling and laughing seem to help. So today I’m thankful for beautiful friends who remind me to smile and effortlessly make me laugh. As strong as we wish we were, I think everybody needs somebody sometimes, even if that somebody serves only the task of making you smile when you just can’t seem to do so on your own. That smile might be the only reminder of hope that person has, the only reminder that their days can, indeed, get better, that life could manage to be normal again, still forever altered by tragedy, the only ounce of love they believe in. And that, my friends, is a unbelievably important task.
So, thank you.
